Affiliate Marketing For Newbies - What Excuse Do You Have For Failing at Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is not an easy way to make a living, however, if you get it right it can be very rewarding. The problem with many newbie affiliate marketers and even experienced ones is that they fail to really get it right at all.

One of the biggest killers of an affiliate marketers dreams are excuses. Excuses are everywhere, and they come in all shapes and sizes and kill dreams as fast as they were dreamt up.


We are all guilty of the odd excuse from time to time, however, if you really take the time to analyse why you never really achieve your goals, then you will more than likely find that it was one of your own excuses that has held you back.

Some classic excuses you may hear or even be guilty of using yourself are

1) I don't have any money to start affiliate marketing

2) I've got a family and kids so I don't have the time to start affiliate marketing

3) I will probably fail at affiliate marketing so why start in the first place

If you sat in a room full of wannabe affiliate marketers and listened to their reasons why they are failing to achieve their goals as an affiliate marketer you could probably write a book of excuses. (If anybody uses that idea I want royalties, ok)

As an affiliate marketer you need to consciously listen to those thoughts going through your head and at very least recognise when you are using a legitimate excuse against yourself. Some people don't even recognise their own excuses. You then need to find a way of breaking through your own excuse barrier and get on with achieving your goals.

As an affiliate marketing newbie you need to stop making excuses for yourself and just get down to business. If you are following a proven affiliate business model then no excuse should stop you from achieving your dreams/goals. (Paul Falkiner)
